Total Health has worked within the Clinical Medical Foods
environment for a number of years and has recently begun to
gain momentum for ‘Over-the-Counter’ products.

appeared where product sales are gaining momentum. It is

the low barrier to entry for their product; no lengthy
efficacy trials as is the case with human products.
The principal intellectual property of Total Health is
“Neurotransmitter Production Support” (N.P.S.), a ‘platform
technology’ that allows common amino acids, the building
blocks of the body, to operate at doses 2%-5% of what was
previously thought possible. Amino acids are the
‘feedstocks’ from which the body produces
neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters govern virtually all
functions of the body. Therefore the N.P.S. technology has
immense potential in both human and animal nutrition as well
as disease treatment.
In the United States alone, there are over 6.9 million
horses and an $8 billion market products for equine health.
Total Health has a tremendous opportunity in this area.
Total Health has also ventured into developing similar
products for dogs, cats, livestock, and zoo animals.
The human market potential is significantly greater, but has
higher product development and marketing costs. Initial
products developed for Humans have performed well beyond
expectations. The market in the United States for
nutritional products alone exceeds $52 billion.
One of Total Health’s unique advantages is to identify a
demand for a product and develop a marketable commodity in a
very short period of time. In the pharmaceutical industry
it typically takes over 7 years from the time a drug is
formulated until it is approved for animal use.
Conventional approaches to developing a new drug for animals
cost tens of millions of dollars before it can be offered
for sale.
All existing competitive products are more dangerous
(particularly pharmaceuticals using receptor technology),
more expensive (because of the large quantities of active
elements required due to the absence of N.P.S.) or less
effective. In some cases (e.g.: serotonin production
without tryptophan) there is no known way to accomplish the
effect without N.P.S. patent protected elements. As long as
